Prostate Cancer is the single most prevalent cancer in men and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in men. 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

/ WHO ARE WE?
​
Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada (formerly Prostate Cancer Foundation BC) represents Canada's prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. The Foundation was established in 1998 by a group of prostate cancer survivors who saw the need to raise monies in order to fund and support research into the causes, detection, prevention, and treatment of prostate cancer. The Foundation also provides programs for survivorship and advocacy to increase awareness about the prevention, detection, and treatment of prostate cancer. The recent name change reflects the work that the foundation has been undertaking since 2021.

The Foundation is a registered charity led by a Board of Directors and an Executive Director, and is supported by its many volunteers and support groups throughout Canada.
